Before my big day, I was very fortunate in being sent a rather detailed wedding checklist from my soon to be sister-in-law. Now this is a very organised lady who had over 800 ticked items on her Wedding To-Do list. It was a very thorough wedding checklist and so her special day, quite rightly, ran very smoothly. I can be a scatterbrain so narrowed the list down to use myself, giving me a clear outline of everything we needed to research, choose, book, organise, schedule, plan, make and create.
It hadn’t really occurred to me how much goes into a wedding, especially a very handcrafted, DIY wedding like ours was. Using the list on my phone made sure I didn’t forget anything important. Along the way, my personal elements were added to the list and kept me organised for the big day.
Here is a run down of everything from my Wedding Checklist. Hopefully, it is a basic list that is a helpful starting point for new brides to be that can have items added or removed to fit your wedding.
I have removed reminders for payments (one of the hardest things to keep track of with deposits and payment breakdowns for everything). I also included parts of my wedding that will not be a part of many brides day, such as doing my bouquets and buttonholes. You can find my other wedding related content here.
