Before joining slimming world my biggest downfall was my sweet tooth. I love desserts and coming up with low syn puddings on Slimming World can be really easy as it isn’t a very restrictive diet. Here is my recipe for syn free Slimming World french toast. Add syns with choc shots or Nutella for an extra special treat, or if you are making it for your husband as in my case!
For this recipe you will need –
- Bread – I used HEXB Kingsmill no crusts wholemeal 400g loaf (You can have 3 slices for your daily HEXB, I have two slices for breakfast and save this one for my snack)
- 1 Egg
- 1 sweetener pellet ( loose sweetener is now syn-able)
- Essence flavouring – Vanilla, salted caramel, orange… whatever you fancy
- Frylight
- Toppings – I went for raspberries, fat-free fromage frais and a tiny dusting of sweetener so my pictures looked prettier.
Start by mixing the egg, sweetener pellet and chosen essence flavouring in a bowl, making sure the pellet dissolves completely. Once combined soak your Kingsmill crustless slice in the mix so that it is covered on both sides and soaked through. Spray a frying pan with fry light and then add the bread. Brown the toast on both sides for a few minutes and serve up with your toppings.
A very quick, simple, filling, warm dessert that takes seconds to do and costs very little. Best of all is can be completely syn free if using the bread as your HEXB. As you can have 3 slices of Kingsmill no crusts wholemeal 400g loaf for your daily HEXB, this doesn’t interfere with my breakfast and I can still have two slices for breakfast and save this one for my snack!
What are your favourite syn free slimming world puddings? I hope you enjoy my Slimming World french toast as much as I do! You can find more of my Slimming World recipes here.
