If you are a regular reader of my blog you will have seen that I have been slimming coming up to my wedding which is now only a few weeks away. Over the last 8 months I have lost 3 stone and 3lb with Slimming World but was approached to work with SlimFast recently on the launch of their new noodle boxes. I was keen to answer the question for myself; does Slim Fast work? See if I could get a boost to my target weight and also see if Slim Fast and exercise work together.
Slim Fast Exercise
Since April I have been using Run Double C25K to boost my running, starting from no exercise and now running a full 25 minutes/2 miles. But can you keep up with that kind of exercise whilst following a Slim Fast plan?
Slim Fast can fuel your work out with all of their meal replacement shakes, both in powder form or the ready to drink on the go bottles, and bars are high in protein. These contain 14g protein per serving. As well as protein they can also give a source of fibre, as well as claiming to provide you with 23 essential vitamins and minerals.
Slim Fast recommend a balanced diet with exercise and focus on providing protein as eating more protein will help increase your metabolic rate and help build and repair body tissue.
I was worried about Slim Fast exercise but I was surprised at how easy I found it. I did find if I was doing a huge amount of exercise I changed to 1 slim fast meal and 2 healthy meals, just to keep my going – especially on work days.
