RMUK – An evening in Leeds being pampered

RMUK is essentially a luxury salon, something that isn’t replicated anywhere else in Leeds. Based in the city centre RMUK  brings you both hair stylists and beauty experts for a complete pamper session.

Often when I have been to spas or salons I have felt a little rushed, found it impersonal or that the experience in between treatments wasn’t fantastic. That isn’t the case with RMUK. To begin you receive soothing tea and a hot flannel. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, everything is as you want and take the time to get to know you and what you want. If time is an issue you can arrange to have treatments stacked together, I had a manicure as my hair was being styled. Disabled access had been very well-considered in the old 3 story building and if you want a little privacy, hen parties, children, weddings a private room can be arranged.

The treatments I received was a mini neck and shoulder massage to relax me for my hair styling. I chose the Shampure oil for this which smells heavenly and has been added to my Christmas list! The massage was fantastic, and although it was short it was so relaxing. I then had hair stylist Jonathan Weston give my hair lovely beach wave curls. I have had many hair dressers try to curl my thick long hair without listening to me that it drops out almost straight away and doesn’t hold a curl. Jon was the first to have listened to this showing me how to use products to keep a longer curl and opting for a beach s shaped wave that look better loose. I loved my hair and the curls did last fairly well over night, you can see them in my latest video.

During my hair styling I also received an express manicure using OPI polishes. This finish was fantastic and it was so nice to be able to stack treatments meaning no unnecessary waiting around. After I had my eyebrows waxed in one of their new, immaculate rooms.

I loved every minute of my experience in RMUK. I will definitely be going back, maybe for a hen do as it has its own bar with quiet terrace. It is a complete escape, not forgetting little extras that make it so special and to be honest I cannot believe their prices for the service they offer. They also offer an entire range of treatments as well as wedding hair services, something I might definitely have to take up!
