How To Do Water Marble Nails

Another nail art video showing how to do water marble nails. Water marble nails are something you may have seen before or it may be a technique you did when you were younger onto paper.

I love water marble nails, you can create some really great designs that are even and only have a thin layer of polish, rather that having masses of layers.  This video is as simple as it gets and looks great with the contrasting colours, you can go more complicated if you want  and I will in future videos but this is more for beginners who haven’t tried water marbling before. In this video I used –

Revlon Nail Art Expressionist Nail Enamel Duo – 310 Night & Degas
Revlon Nail Art Neon – Amped up 190
MUA – Amaretto Crush
Sally Hansen New Lengths Nail Colour 13ml French White Tip
Cocktail Sticks
Clear Plastic cups
Plastic Nail Art Swatches

Some polishes do work better than others with water marbling so it can be worth trying them out first before going straight in with your base polished nail. I’ve found that a lot of metallic polishes don’t work as well, they seem to dry quickly so you don’t have time to layer your polishes or make your designs with your cocktail stick.

If you are doing it straight onto your nails use masking tape to cover the finger and area around the nail as much as you can. That way you can peel off the tape and have less mess to remove around your finger with a brush and some nail polish remover.

I hope you like the video, please like it and subscribe. If you have a go please link me your results I would love to have a look and let me know what nail tutorials you would like to see in the future!

I remember trying this out several years ago. I failed miserably. I ought to try it again… this time with a little more patience. LOL!
