I have recently been introduced to the Glo & Ray makeup range, and it has been one of the most impressive finds. I wrote about their new eyeliners a few weeks ago here and for me their cosmetics are such high quality with well thought out and deliberated shades. Their packaging has also not been scrimped on, I have been so impressed with the Glo & Ray products I have tested I would compare them with NARS or M.A.C. If you are on the look out for a new, high end cosmetics range then Glo & Ray are worth a look!
Today I am sharing with you two of their lipsticks, La Amo Creamy Matte Lip Colour Venus 61o and La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour Mysterious 640 as well as their Lumincent Setting Pressed Powder.
Above is the La Amo Creamy Matte Lip Colour Venus 61o, a really creamy nude, natural baby pink. It is a really wearable matte shade and has such a nice consistency although I preferred my second lipstick shade from Glo & Ray as I felt this washed me out a little.
Glo & Ray are a British company drawing inspiration from the wonder of light, gentle luminance and natural radiance designed to illuminate individual beauty. This can be seen in their second product that I am sharing with you, their Lumincent Setting Pressed Powder.
As you can see the packaging for the Lumincent Setting Pressed Powder is lovely and big, very similar in size and style to my Bobbi Brown bronzer. I love the matte black packaging of the items and have been impressed as they don’t get smudgy, streaky and in a mess like some of my NARS matte black products. The product gives very good coverage and could be used as a powder foundation. I used it to fix my foundation in place and it was very light on the skin and left me with a matte finish which is what I prefer. I was really happy as it made my skin look so much better and have a natural, healthy glow, hiding my pores and blemishes using micro-shine particles. I didn’t need to apply it again throughout the day and remained shine free. I will be using this product so much when it gets into the warmer months!
This last product was by far my favourite product, the La Amo Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour Mysterious 640. I fell in love with this shade, a red with a slight shimmer and subtle berry undertones. The lipstick was very moisturising, smudge and bleed proof and the colour lasted without staining my lips.
With my fair complexion I just thought that this shade of red lipstick suited my complexion, it didn’t look garish or clown like and just brought out some colour in my skin.
