essence Try It Love It Forbidden Volume Mascara Launch

A rather impressive press release arrived at my POBox last week, the essence Forbidden Volume Mascara Launch. This mascara is part of the essence Try It Love It trend edition and arrived in a padlocked safe (which can later be used as a jewelry box).

The mascara’s have also been Strikeapose personalised!

essence is an affordable make up brand that bring out lots of high quality budget beauty items and change their collections so frequently. They are now available online in the UK as well as being in Wilkos stores, although the brand still isn’t as accessible as it is in other parts of Europe.

The three new mascaras in the essence Try It Love It trend are the essence forbidden volume mascara, the essence forbidden volume rebel mascara and the essence forbidden volume false lash mascara topcoat.

The new essence forbidden volume false lash mascara topcoat is designed to give a false lashes effect when used on top of your regular mascara. It does this using black fibres and this combination product can be used with the other two mascaras as well to give an even greater dramatic and intense look.

The essence forbidden volume mascara has a conic fibre brush to give dramatic volume without clumping and adding a lot of volume.

The brush shape made it really easy to define my lower lash line and added a lot of volume to my lashes.

The other mascara is the essence forbidden volume rebel mascara which has a far larger and more unusual shaped brush than the others. This is to give more intense results as well as instant volume.

This mascara I found to be quite wet and the brush is large so it was hard to apply neatly, lots of swabbing with an earbud and micellar water to tidy up after, but I did prefer the results.

The fibre bristles are varying lengths and I found that this really helped to separate my lashes and give a fuller, fanned eyelashes effect.

The volume and rebel mascaras are priced at £2.99 and the topcoat is priced at £2.79 and essence Try It Love It is launching this month.

With the results they offer it does make you question, why bother going high end?
