Yesterday I shared with you a little more detail on my own palette that I designed with essence cosmetics as part of their bloggers beauty secrets trend edition, the essence cosmetics shape & shadows eye contouring palette. The entire collection features 4 blogger designed palettes as well as 4 different nail polish shades that link in with the palettes. Todays feature is Serena’s palette, the glow must go on bronzing & highlighting palette.
This palette is absolutely beautiful, I am in love with the artwork that was created and I love the pan lay out inside. It all works so well together!
The essence cosmetics the glow must go on bronzing & highlighting palette release is perfectly timed with summer. Adding a little bronze and shimmer to compliment a tan and bringing a little warmth to the face. The highlighter is also a helpful tool in this kit for helping distinguish your cheek bone and eyebrow.
The essence cosmetics the glow must go on bronzing & highlighting palette is more than just highlighting and bronzing, it can also be used as an eyeshadow. There are 2 set shades for eyeshadows in the palette but there is nothing stopping you from using the bronzer or highlighter as an eyeshadow for a little wow factor.
The bronzing block means that you can mix all the colours together easily, so that you get different tones and not just one block colour on your cheek. There are other high-end items that are quite similar but do not have the same low-end price tag!
The little brush in the set is useful if you are on the go but isn’t really the best. It is better than most obligatory palette brushes as it is very soft but it just isn’t big enough. This makes is a little fiddly to use and means you cannot just do a one gently sweep. It is my only draw back with this palette and for best results from the shades I recommend using your own brush.
Here are the swatches from the palette, the eyeshadow shades are cinnamon, a burnt true orange and sandalwood, a medium/dark warm brown. The honey glow highlighter has a golden brightening glow to it. Lastly is the glowing bronzer, you can see the three shades separate but also how well they work when mixed together at the end.
Overall Serena has created a beautiful palette, perfect for giving me glowing skin this summer!
