Burt’s Bees are a brand I love – known for their quality natural products. I have actually featured them many times before on my blog. Today I am sharing with you two new lipsticks from them, Burt’s Bees Suede Splash and Magenta Rush.
I have never tried lipsticks from Burt’s Bees – I have tried a lot of their lip products, balms and crayons but never lipsticks. Burt’s Bees new lipsticks come in 18 different colours. They use 100% natural ingredients with moringa and raspberry seed oils added to moisturise, soften and condition your lips. Even the packaging is completely recyclable.
The packaging is instantly recognisable and totally different from anything else. With beautiful hexagon cut out detailing and cute brown shimmer packaging. Not luxury quality, it is a little light weight, but for £9.99 it is beautiful all the same. The tube is a bit too long, it is longer than the average lipstick, but without the extra product. The long, sleek lipstick bullet just takes up unnecessary room in your handbag.
I do prefer a matte lipstick nowadays, but these have a pretty satin finish, so my lips aren’t dried out in the winter months. They are very moisturising and feel just like a balm on the lips. The Burt’s Bees lipsticks glide on evenly with a good pigment. They aren’t particularly long lasting, but the colour fades well over time. They don’t stand up against food or drink however.
Burt’s Bees Suede Splash and Magenta Rush are beautiful contrasting shades. Burt’s Bees Suede Splash is my favourite, a nude brown that looks very natural and not too dark. Burt’s Bees Magenta Rush is a bright pink that is fun and lively – a great shade for spring!
I’ve heard so many things about the Burt’s Bees lipsticks and the packaging is really cute! Both shades really suit you, but I think much favourite is Suede Splash!
