If any of you follow me on twitter or instagram you will know that I recently went to a beauty blogger event at Meadowhall for our second meet up. Our first event involved Lush which you can read about here. The event was at Chao Baby Palm Sugar Lounge Bar where we had a chance to make and try some different cocktails and mocktails as well as have a taste of some of the gorgeous Thai food available from Chao Baby. The Chaophraya Thai Food group is available in the North and can be found in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. The food and staff were amazing so if you are nearby and like or want to try Thai food then check them out.
For the event I wore this gorgeous necklace from Karmisa* which you can see in the above image. I don’t normally wear large necklaces but I love this. The contrasting colours of the mint and silver look so pretty and it is great for adding a bit of sparkle to a simple outfit. Karmisa boutique offer a small niche range of jewellery that is very affordable.
At the event we tried loads of new and different cocktails including this one with Chilli in it, a lovely kick to a sour drink.
My sister Rose and I made some strawberry daiquiris which were so nice and quite simple to make so I will have to have a go again at home! They are such a fruity and sweet drink that they are probably my favourite cocktail so I’m glad I know how to make them now.
It was lovely to catch up and have a natter with other bloggers at the event, blogging can be a little isolating so it was really nice to hear what everyone else is doing with their blogs. I look forward to our next Meadowhall Blogger Event meet up which will be at Christmas some time.
That cocktail with a chilli in it, looks and sounds so delicious!
