In my recent post, Birchbox February 2016, I briefly mentioned one of the items from the new Birchbox LOC launch, their first in-house makeup brand, the One & Done Shadow Sticks in the shade Perfect Cents.
I recently received the entire Birchbox LOC range to trial, the LOC Ultimate Collection, which features two One & Done Shadow Sticks in Perfect Cents and Champagne Problems as well as the LOC Complete Collection for Lips containing three vibrant Matte Lipsticks in Trouble, Uncorked, and Skinny Dip.
Birchbox LOC (Love of Colour) were fully conceptualised by Birchbox in an effort to bring of the moment, on trend, bold, highly pigmented makeup products. The colours can be bought as a set or individually and are cruelty and paragon free. The designs are small, handbag sized, so that they will be lower in cost, designed to last one season so that you can stay on trend and experiment with new colours.
One & Done Shadow Sticks in the shade Perfect Cents. This shade is a warm copper gold, is waterproof and very long-lasting. It is an eyeshadow stick that needs to be sharpened, a downside with the eyeshadow packaging. I love this gold and it did last a long time but unlike the other shade this one did irritated my eye slightly.
One & Done Shadow Sticks in the shadeChampagne Problems. This shade is a cool silver taupe, very pretty and frosty metallic. Great for using in the lash line, this shade did not irritate my eyes at all. Again it is sadly an eyeshadow stick that needs to be sharpened.
Birchbox LOC Matte Lipstick in shade Skinny Dip. A light nude, beige pink with a none drying formula. Be sure to exfoliate your lips before applying, this shade brings to light every dry area.
Birchbox LOC Matte Lipstick in shade Trouble. I loved this blue toned, cool red. Very nice feeling on the lips but be careful as it does stain the skin.
Lastly Birchbox LOC Matte Lipstick in shade Berry Plum. A vibrant purple I fell in love with, very smudgy but if you are careful it gives a gradual fade throughout the day.
Birchbox LOC will be creating 2 trend based collections per year as well as introducing additional products and new shades for each season.
If you are excited by the Birchbox LOC launch then you will be happy to hear that ‘ARROW’, Birchbox’s second in-house beauty brand that recently had its US launch will be coming to the UK shortly.
I loved the way you just lined your eyes rather than cover the entire lid!! Looks so pretty!!
