Otley Victorian Fayre and Christmas Market

By fluke my Mum spotted that there was an Otley Victorian Fayre and Christmas Market on last Sunday and I had a chance to have a wander round at all the stalls and events going on. If you have never been to Otley in Leeds it is a really pretty little Yorkshire market town, now full of a lot of charity shops but also lots of independent shops that are great for gift buying and a little Christmas shopping.

It was a very festive fun event with lots to see, buy and do, I even got to meet Rudolf! Here are some of my favourite pictures that I papped going around, I know there’s a lot of photographs in this post but I hope you like them. You may get some inspiration for a few Christmas DIY crafts like I did at some of the stalls.

These button Christmas tree decorations are really sweet and effective, if you don’t want to pay £3.50 for each one from Happy Button then I’m sure there are a lot of crafty readers who could make these for themselves out of old buttons.The Christmas trees and angel button decorations were lovely but my favourite was the Santa decoration you can see in the top left of the picture.

These are some of my favourite stalls whilst pottering around. The candle stall was pretty cool, I’ve never seen anywhere selling milk bottle candles before but it is such a good idea and is a great up cycle. These fragrances weren’t very strong or I would have picked on up, especially their gingerbread candle. If you have a shabby chic or vintage feel to your rooms have a go at making one of these fun candles.
