It’s been a while since my last Friday’s Face post and I thought it would be a good day to show off my make up as I am wearing the navy liner, Eye Of Horus makeup Scarab Sapphire, again. I am a girl who mostly sticks to black cat flick eye liner on the top of my lids but recently I have been teaming this with a little bit of blue colour. This added navy tone seems to make my blue eyes pop and I love this subtle effect (maybe I will get a bit braver with colours on my eyes).
The Eye Of Horus Scarab Sapphire liner is currently £17 and has a wax formula. It has a very metallic, shimmery tone and can be worn with eye liner as I have done or be used for a full colour on the eyes as an eyeshadow. After applying it allows maybe 30 seconds for smudging and blending and then it sets and will not budge. It is double ended with a great blending sponge at one end. It is waterproof and I do have oily eyes, I usually end up with product under my eyes by the end of the day, but the Eye Of Horus makeup didn’t move.
I would like to try their black, brown or bronze liners as I would probably get more everyday use out of them but for the odd day I can use this for a little colour around my eyes. My only disappointment with this product is the packaging, this looks like a wind up liner but isn’t. The pencil is strong black plastic and I haven’t tried sharpening it yet but I hope it works. Much cheaper brands have twist up eye liner pencils or built in sharpeners and for the price of the Eye of Horus makeup I would have expected it.

Adding coloured liner is a great way to spice up the ‘norm’, the blue looks really good.
