Skin Perfection Loreal
Since using the Bioderma Crealine H20 Micellar Solution Micellar Water Cleansers have become an important part of my skin care routine. I am also a big fan of and regularly use the Medik8 Cleanser that I reviewed. Bioderma is a brilliant cleanser and is raved about by beauty bloggers but is a bit expensive and has to be ordered online if you are in the UK. It is worth picking up if you are on holiday but I wanted to find an alternative dupe when my Bioderma ran out that was easy to get hold of in the UK.
Whilst in Boots I saw the Skin Perfection Loreal Micellar Water – L’oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. The Skin Perfection Loreal Micellar Water feels as though it is just water, in the same way as the Bioderma solution does, but removes your make up in seconds. Micellar water needs to be applied to a cotton wool pad then used on dry skin. Hold it for a few seconds over your eye lid and lips then wipe away the make up.
The Skin Perfection Loreal is gentle and tones and soothes the skin. Unlike wipes that rub the make up around your face and can cause breakouts the Skin Perfection Loreal removes the impurities and unclogs pores rather than spreading them around your face. It works really quickly so you don’t need to rub, I use it both in the morning and evening and have found it to be very similar to the Bioderma, only being a fraction of the price and readily available in the UK.
If you have issues with breakouts and use make up removal wipes change to miscellar water to remove your make up. Your skin feels so much cleaner and fresher, without the harsh rubbing that is sometimes needed to remove make up with a wipe. The Skin Perfection Loreal is a gentle product with no soap or alcohol so is great for sensitive skin or removing eye make up.
Have you used Micellar Water Cleansers before?

I’m a huge fan of bioderma’s micelar water…I’m really afraid of this and Garnier’s version…I don’t know but I feel more secure with bioderma. Still, I think that this is a nice alternative for those who can’t /don’t want to spend 15 or 19 euros on a bottle of cleansing water.
Take care*
Everyone seems to be using this at the minute. I’ve seen mixed reveiws but I still think i’m going to give this a go as a cheaper alternative

I have just picked this up literally this weekend. Did a brief post about the product but looking to do a full review this week/weekend. You’ve gave me some inspiration.
Lovely clear photographs, well written review and so helpful! I’m feeling the same effects of the Micellar Water at the moment, and didn’t want to spend loads for the Bioderma if the product wasn’t suited to me.
Love your blog, could you possibly take a look at mine and leave me some feedback?

Ill have to try this! Can’t wait!
I have read very average reviews about this , but I tried it for myself and thought it was brilliant (keep in mind I’ve never tried Bioderma) but for a high street alternative it’s definitely a good bean!

Hi Mary! It’s been a long time since I’ve commented! I’m just barely keeping up with my posts! I’ve got to vow to post once a week, at least, right? Anyhoo, I have been using Burt’s Bee’s for a while now, my most annoying makeup removal is my mascara, but I use mascara called “Fiber Wig” most of the mascara’s here seem to have fillers, it comes off easy if it’s not waterproof but I DO have to rinse quite a few times though,
I think it’s brilliant for refreshing the face, but I’ve always had a hard time removing most of my makeup with it, particularly mascara…maybe I’m doing something wrong?

This sounds really interesting! I have thoroughly enjoyed discovering Bioderma, but any cheaper, effective alternatives are always welcomed ;) Funnily enough, living in Korea means that Bioderma is actually far more accessible to me than L’Oreal. I actually don’t think I’ve seen it here… Oops. If I happen to chance upon a L’Oreal stockist, however, I will gladly check this out! :)

I was looking into this when I bought my Garnier Cleansing Water! Cleansing waters aren’t a huge thing here in the US yet, but I can’t wait till they are because I’m dying to try more of them!

I’ve been using the Bioderma for a while now, but like you I also use the Loreal if I’m running low. To be honest I can’t see much difference. But the packaging on the Loreal is annoying as the bottle is so thin it easily tips over. But for the price it’s a great product.
This sounds lovely and I like that it works well for sensitive skin.

Thank you for this review – I’m currently using a different micellar which seems like it doesn’t do half the job that this one does! I’ll be picking this up on my next trip to town!!
