essence cosmetics are some of my favourite makeup. Not only are their products affordable and cruelty-free they are also, on the whole, very good buys. Although hard to get hold of in the UK there are some supplies in Wilkos, so it is worth keeping an eye out!
I love seeing their new product launches, essence release hundreds of new products every year and whilst sadly in the UK we don’t get their trend editions, we do get their standard range. If you are on holiday or abroad keep an eye out as their trend editions are always so cute!
New releases from essence sent to me include the Blushplay sculpting blush palette in shade 10 play it peach, the cushion eyeliner, Volume stylist 18h lash extension mascara, colour boost high pigment nail paint in 11 intense match and shine shine shine lipgloss in shades 12 runway, your way and 13 red carpet starlet.
The blushplay sculpting blush palette is a fun multitoned blush set, use shades individually or combined. More of a blush and highlighter set than a contour blush set but for £4 it gives great results and a soft sweep of colour.
The Cushion eyeliner was my favourite item. For only £3 this was a very light liquid eyeliner that was so comfortable to wear and stayed in place. I used a thin, angled essence brush to apply my winged eyeliner and found it a very easy eyeliner to use.
Paired with the Volume stylist 18h lash extension mascara which gave a natural, separated, fanned eyelash effect. Not particularly lengthening but I loved the results, no clumps and my eyelashes looked fuller and thicked without heavy mascara.
The colour boost high pigment nail paint in 11 intense match is definitely not a shade I would normally wear but this intense blue gave a solid swipe of colour. I always love essence polishes and at £1.80 a polish this super pigmented range looks wonderful, as they have more pastel tones available I will keep a look out to pick up more!
Finally are the lipglosses. These are bold shades and are more of a lipstick, lipgloss hybrid. Intense colour pay off but with the shine, wet look gloss. Available in nudes to prism glow effects these lipglosses will be fun to experiment with at £2 each.

I’m so surprised at how pigmented the lip glosses are! I can’t believe how cheap they are, I defo need to try them out
