Testing out today are the Tropics Skin Care Colour Click Lipstick shades Rosehip, Jazzberry Jam, In Bloom and Sweetpea.
These four Tropics Skin Care shades are all very different and have very different formulas – some dry and dragging across the lips but highly pigmented with others sheer and glossy. A real mixed bag.
The lipsticks packaging is beautiful, the matte black outer and click release lid is elegant and unique. The lipsticks are priced at £14 each and very moisturising on the lips and contain camellia, jojoba, avocado and argan oils.
Online it is very hard to tell which shades to choose and very difficult to work out what each shade actually looks like. I really love 3 out of the 4 shades.
I used to be a big coral lipstick fan when I first started my blog but now the bright pinky orange coral does nothing for me. Sweetpea has a rich, pigmented formula but the shade isn’t what I had expected.
In Bloom looked to be my favourite shade, a very natural, dusky pink. *Crossed fingers for a matte formula* Alas this is the most sheer lipstick, leaving a natural, pretty, nude sheen on the lips. Very moisturising but sadly just a touch of colour.
Jazzberry Jam is fun, bright, purply plum. It offers a good amount of pigment and is a shade this colour-fobe might have been unwilling to try. Fresh and vibrant this is a great spring shade.
The final shade is rather unique. Rosehip a brown orange red feels like a very autumn shade. A flattering red that, although bold, doesn’t feel too daring.
It has a great staying power and this vibrant shade applies with ease whilst being hydrating on the lips.
Which of these Tropics Skin Care Colour Click Lipsticks is your favourite?
