The Body Shop recently launched the new fresh nude cushion foundation. The Body Shop NEW Fresh Nude Cushion Foundation has been designed to give a no mess, no fuss approach to your makeup routine. With its easy application you may be able to save a few minutes in the morning – something I love the sound of.
This new foundation compact has SPF 25, is 100% vegan and is enriched with 100% organic community trade Aloe Vera and Rose Water. It has been designed to give a natural result, be suitable for sensitive skin, easy to blend and to leave the skin feeling fresh.
This liquid foundation is a great little compact, perfect for on the go. It contains a large mirror and a cushion sponge applicator. To avoid spills, the foundation uses a micro-mesh cushion for the application. Push the cushion down to release some of the product.
The foundation is described as a ‘semi-matte texture that looks to natural is might be mistaken for your own skin.’
I often find it hard to match up my skin tone with a foundation. The shades sent to me were Fuji Peony 01 and Comoros Vanilla 02. Both the shades I have are pretty light and with there only being five shades in total that doesn’t leave much for the darker skin tone ranges.
The Body Shop foundations smell lovely, not overpowering but very fresh and pleasant. The formula is very wet, cooling and has a light coverage – however, this is slightly buildable if you are someone who needs more coverage, but probably not enough for myself.
The combination of the light formula with the sponge applicator means I have no issues with streaks or unevenness. My skin looks naturally healthy and is left dewy, not semi-matte as described.
For me I need far more coverage but if you like a light, natural coverage to give you a healthy glow this is a lovely foundation for you.
I haven’t tried their cushion foundation yet but I’m a big fan of their liquid fresh nude foundation – at the time it was the only one that could closely match my skin tone while not becoming streaky!
This sounds great for if you want to go a day without a heavy look and need your skin to breathe a little

I really like cushion foundations, so I’ll have to keep my eye out for this one!
