One of my favourite recipes since going to SW has been syn free Slimming World pancakes, but today I fancied a bit of a treat. I love chocolate orange and thought I would have to have a go at making some sort of Slimming World Chocolate Orange pancake.
These Slimming World pancakes are so sweet, chocolate-y and delicious, they feel very indulgent, and the best part? They are only 4.5 syns!
For my Chocolate Orange Slimming World pancakes you will need –
- 2 eggs
- Sweetener
- Options Chocolate Orange hot chocolate
- 1 segment of Terry’s Chocolate Orange
- 1 or 2 Oranges
- Fry light
To begin separate your eggs then add 3 tsps of Options orange hot chocolate, or one of their sachets, to your yolks (2 syns) and 1 tbsp of water. When recreating this I realised adding sweetener after the egg whites were whisked worked much better.
Whisk your egg whites until they form soft peaks and then gently fold in both your egg yolk chocolate orange mix and 2 tbsp of sweetener.
Do this gently as you do not want to knock all the air out of your egg whites.
Prepare your toppings ready for decorating. You will need to begin microwaving or melting in a bain marie your segment of Terry’s chocolate orange (2.5 syns).
On a high heat spray your fry light and gently spread out your mixture. Unlike a regular pancake when cooking this you feel like it will never come together and it has all gone wrong and then all at once your moose like mixture suddenly becomes a flip-able pancake.
These chocolate orange pancakes are great on their own as it is and are only (2 syns). For a bit of wow factor and indulgence I used a fork to dribble a melted Terry’s chocolate orange segment all over some sweet clementine pieces.
And yes, it was a yummy as it looks!
