I’ve always enjoyed the creativity that makeup allows, experimenting with different looks based on my mood or the occasion. However, navigating the vast array of products and techniques available can sometimes be daunting. That’s why I was thrilled when No7 invited me to explore their product range and create three distinct signature looks. A particularly exciting feature was the No7 Makeup Virtual Try-On tool, which made the selection process much more straightforward. This innovative tool enabled me to see how various products and colours would appear on my skin, using either uploaded photos or live videos, ensuring I could make informed choices about which styles to pursue.
No7 Look 1: All-Day Everyday Makeup
This first look is the All Day Every Day Makeup Look, the one I gravitate toward on busy weekdays, especially when I’m working from home or doing simple errands. It’s a more natural makeup, easy-to-apply look that doesn’t require much time or effort.
- Foundation: I used No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation in Fair*. It’s light and doesn’t feel like makeup at all, but it still controls shine with a slight mattifying effect.
- Highlighter: No7 Skin Illuminator* adds a subtle glow to my cheekbones and under blows.
- Eyes: A single coat of No7 Define & Enhance Mascara* in black is enough for a touch of definition. No7 suggest using their Eyeshadow Palette but I opted for an alternative, The Trio Eyeshadow in Antique Rose*, which is a very easy way to elevate the look without adding heaviness to the eyes.
- Brows: Fill in any gaps with the No7 Eyebrow precision pencil*.
- Lips: No7 High Shine Lip Crayon* provides a hint of colour on the lips.
This look is perfect for those who want a no makeup makeup style without a lot of fuss.
Look 2: Weekend Glow
For a slightly more polished look, I created the Weekend Glow Makeup Look. It’s great for casual weekends or days when you want to feel a little more put together.
- Foundation: I used the No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum Foundation in ‘Calico’*. This foundation has more coverage than the first, but it still looks natural. It also has SPF 15 and vitamins A, C, and E, making it a skincare-friendly option.
- Blusher: No7 Matte Powder Blusher in ‘Honey’* is a peachy-brown shade that turned out to be a great fit for me.
- Eyes: I stuck with the same mascara (Although they recommend The Full 360 Ultra Mascara* to create the Weekend Glow), but I used a No7 Eye Liner* in black to line the upper eyelid. This time, I opted for a more defined look.
- Lips: No7 Velvet Matte Lipstick in Amonite* adds a natural touch that complements the blusher.
This look is ideal for those who want to step up their makeup game without going overboard.
Look 3: All-Out Glam
The final look is my go-to for nights out or special occasions. All Out Glam Makeup Look: It’s bold, dramatic, and a lot of fun to create.
- Foundation: I used the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in ‘Calico’*, which offers the most coverage among the three foundations I tried. It has SPF 30, ensuring sun protection, and lasts all day.
- Bronzer: I used No7 Matte Bronzing shade ‘Maple’* as a contour to add definition to my cheekbones and a little warmth along my hairline and jawline.
- Eyes: The No7 Define & Enhance Mascara* works well, but for more volume, the Intense Volume Mascara* would be ideal. Teamed with a warm smokey eye using the No7 Shade and Define Eye Pencils* creamy pencils in shades ‘Golden Copper’ and ‘Coffee Bean’ that blend together beautifully.
- Lips: The No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in Pillarbox, an orangey-red shade, completes the look and adds a touch of glamour.
Exploring this makeup was both enjoyable and eye-opening. It gave me the chance to break away from my usual beauty routine and try out new techniques and products that I wouldn’t have chosen for myself. Creating each look allowed me to express different sides of my personality, ranging from natural and subtle to bold and dramatic.
