Any day spent hearing the phrase ‘Aunty Mary’ is going to be a good one. Today I had a wonderful time taking out my two beautiful neices as Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival 2017. We were all very excited to have a look around the Pumpkin Festival and Pick our Own Pumpkins in Leeds!
Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival
This year Farmer Copleys had planted more than 120,000 pumpkin plants. There were every shape size and colour available. We had a good look around to ensure that we had found our perfect pumpkin for this years Halloween. At the beginning of the festival there were a rainbow of pumpkins available – red, green, white, blue, black, yellow, mixed, warty and of course orange. Wrapped up warm and with our wellies we headed out onto the fields. We chose a large orange pumpkin that was pretty perfect!
The day we arrived was when the festival should have been over. We were lucky to have seen online they were extending it for another two days. The pumpkins were also half price if you brought a donation for the food bank!
Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival could not have been better. The space was so well organised and there was so much to see and do. Our 5 and 3 year old nieces had such a good time. On site you can also carve your pumpkin. For £2.50 you can save the mess of carving your pumpkin at home! Although we took ours home to carve as the girls were getting cold it was very tempting to get a free pumpkin patch carving kit and have a helper take off the lid and clean up the mess!
We chose a large orange pumpkin that was pretty perfect after we had been to the pumpkin washing station!
After our pick your own pumpkin at Famer Copleys it was time to look around all the food options, rides, festival face painting and Halloween pot painting at the festival.
A perfect day out for the children, as well as for spotting a few fashion bloggers finding a photo opportunity in the pumpkin patch! We will definitely be returning next year for Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival in Yorkshire!
