For this syn free, crustless Slimming world quiche you will need –
- 8 eggs
- 1 x 300g ASDA Fat Free Cottage Cheese Onion & Chive (or similar)
- 2 red onions
- Salt
- Pepper
- Fry Light
- Asparagus
Prepared in 10-15 mins
Cooked in 30-35 mins
You will also need a mixing bowl, pan and quiche dish.
Begin by chopping your onions, as finely as you prefer.
Add a pinch of salt…
And a dash of pepper…
Try to remove any moisture from the top of the Cottage Cheese tub first as more moisture in your mix means a longer cook time.
Next combine your 8 egg along with your whole tub of ASDA Fat Free Cottage Cheese Onion & Chive in a bowl.
Fry your onions with a spray of fry light for around 5 minutes until soft and add your asparagus to a pan of boiling water and leave to simmer for around 2-3 minutes.
As I used stackable Tefal pans that can be put in the oven I poured my cheese/egg mix straight over the top of my fried onions.
Once mixed and in your quiche dish take your asparagus out and leave to dry as much as possible on kitchen roll, again we don’t want any excess moisture in our mix.
Start cutting and arranging your asparagus into your pattern for decoration.
Once done pop in a preheated oven at roughly 180 for 30-35 mins. Keep an eye on it as the top can burn easily or cook more on one side than the other.
Taa Daa, that is your finished, syn free, asparagus, onion and chive Slimming World quiche. It certainly doesn’t taste like a Slimming world meal let alone a syn free one. A perfect addition to a buffet, hot with some butternut squash wedges or as a slice with a simple side salad. Enjoy!
